RateUs is for organisations who provide a planned
service to each of their customers or clients
over a period of time. This is important because
it means there is a clear commitment to delivering
a defined service or support that all parties
sign up to. Many regulatory
bodies, government organisations and others
stress the importance of fully involving the people
that actually receive the service. Most importantly,
the reports generated by the system provide critical
evidence of outcomes for the customer - the impact
it has actually had, based on the agreed plan.

RateUs provides a complete service evaluation
system that involves the customer in rating the
service in confidence on an ongoing basis. This
rating is centred on a questionnaire (online or
hard copy) and customers score twelve questions
within 6 core areas (our
6 core measures). These are six areas which
are critical to the delivery of a quality service.
Because these measures are the same for all member
organisations, this allows for benchmarking, either
within the same organisation (in a number of locations
or management centres) or across providers. Organisations
can choose to display information about themselves,
publicly on this web site, or just use the data
to internally monitor their performance.
In addition to answering set questions, customers
can also feedback their views or suggestions via
an online (or hard copy) 'suggestion box'. This
provides an additional route for customers to
express their views and offer ideas or concerns.
We also offer a Flexible Survey Tool that allows
organisations to design their own online questionnaire
for any stakeholder group.
An important additional feature of the system
provides an alert to the organisation if any customer
is scoring their service low in one of two critical
areas. These are areas that may indicate a welfare
issue. This allows the organisation to review
the service in that location, and take action
to respond to the situation.
All member organisations agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.
This provides some simple safeguards to make sure
the system is used properly.
RateUs also provides a module to allow staff
to rate the organisation against the same set
of core measures (but with different underpinning
questions). Used with the customer module, this
provides a complete 'health check' of how the
organisation is being perceived by both customers
and staff. Because the system combines verification
of users (only valid users can access the system),
together with confidentiality, the results will
be both comprehensive and honest. Click
